We want to show that we have a good work ethic; we don\u2019t want to disappoint others; we\u2019re worried that speaking up might jeopardize our jobs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>So, we grit our teeth through burnout \u2013 ultimately to the detriment of our work, both in the short- and long-term.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Burnout is incredibly common. <strong>According to a Gallup poll, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrexchangenetwork.com\/employee-engagement\/news\/employee-burnout-statistics-you-need-to-know#:~:text=Gallup%20recently%20surveyed%20more%20than,reported%20feeling%20burned%20out%20sometimes.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">23% of employees report feeling burned out more often than not<\/a>. <\/strong>And an additional 44% report feeling burnout on occasion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>But too often, burnout goes unacknowledged in the workplace.
